Steve Aley joined R&D as a senior surveyor in 2006. Earlier in his career he worked as a contractor/operative before progressing to a surveying role with a major national property preservation company. He has vast experience in the specification of waterproofing systems in all types of domestic, commercial and historic properties. During a major waterproofing project he will usually work closely with the architect from design inception, through overseeing installation and testing, to sign off. Steve believes the number of waterproofing systems available today can often make specification confusing for clients and architects. His experience and expertise will simplify the process and ensure the correct system or combination of systems is installed.
